Botanical Embroidery Designs - Edition 4 explores the lightest and most heirloom-oriented side of the series through more than 150 design plates and hundreds of botanical motifs inspired by openwork, broderie, whitework and refined linen ornament.

This edition focuses on the relationship between botanical form and negative space. Flowers, leaves and stems are opened, simplified and structured into designs where the unstitched areas become as important as the motif itself. Pierced floral forms, eyelet-inspired details, cutwork-like leaves, lace-edged botanicals and delicate whitework compositions create a quieter and more architectural interpretation of the garden.

Botanical Openwork

At the heart of Edition 4 is botanical openwork: eyelet-inspired flowers, pierced petal structures, cutwork-influenced leaves, broderie anglaise-style floral edges, whitework botanical motifs, lace-like borders, open floral corners, delicate frames, fine linen ornaments and heirloom-inspired placements.

The mood is light, but the construction remains purposeful. Negative space, curved leaf architecture and repeated edge motifs are treated as active parts of the design.
