Rowan berries and branching leaves occupy a lower-right corner beneath a clear label square. Rowan Pocket Corner is a small-area embroidery placement pattern. Compare its outlines with your pocket before transfer, keeping the leaf directions and the spaces around the fruit. No pocket construction template is included.

About the download

An 18-page English PDF guide accompanies this hand embroidery pattern. It includes a stitch map, motif recipes, working order and technique notes.

Working the design

Check the corner against your pocket shape and keep the upper-left reserve clear during transfer. The suggested palette contains 13 DMC shades, with colour swatches, codes and strand guidance.

  • Four 10 × 15 cm A4 quadrants inside the guide

Size and printing

The full design field is 20 × 30 cm (7.87 × 11.81 in), including the unstitched areas in the drawing. This measures the layout, not each motif or the finished textile. Print at 100% / Actual Size with Fit to Page switched off. Check the 5 × 5 cm control square, then use the registration marks to join the four A4 quadrants.

Fabric and preparation

Suggested experience: intermediate. Use medium-weight natural linen or linen-cotton in pale oatmeal, flax or warm ivory. You will also need embroidery cotton, suitable needles, a hoop or frame and a transfer tool suited to your fabric. Leave extra cloth for holding, mounting or sewing. Test stitches and thread colours on a scrap first; screen colours and dye lots vary.

Using the files

This is a digital download. Fabric, thread, tools and finished embroidery are not supplied. Follow the transfer drawing for placement. Lifestyle images show possible uses; garment sewing templates are not included. The SVG is linework, not a PES or DST machine embroidery file.

Licence

Personal, non-commercial use. Do not share, resell or redistribute the files or artwork. Selling finished pieces requires separate written permission from Stitchesly.

About the images

The design and illustrative images were developed with AI assistance. They show the intended appearance and possible uses, rather than a photographed stitched sample.
