The central idea of Edition 2 is balance. Some compositions are highly symmetrical, while others rely on directional flow or repeated units. More Than 150 Design Plates
Edition 2 contains more than 150 individual design plates, and many of those plates contain more than one usable component.
A single study may offer a main border together with a small connector or repeat detail. A frame can provide smaller corner or side elements. Some plates contain modular ornaments that can be separated and recombined, while larger textile panels introduce complete decorative compositions.
For that reason, the book contains hundreds of individual ornamental motifs and design fragments, making it useful as a broad reference library rather than a limited set of finished patterns.
Classical Edge Systems
Edge design is one of the strongest areas of this edition. The collection explores borders at different densities and scales: narrow restrained borders, classical straight repeats, continuous filigree edges, scrolling borders, ornamental floral edges, open broderie-style structures, wider decorative bands and long-format border compositions.
These designs may be adapted for both horizontal and vertical placement depending on the textile project.
