About This Design

Long vertical grasses establish the structure before softer clover heads and yellow seed sprays are added. Fine stitch density is important here: the field should remain airy rather than becoming a solid embroidered block. The ladybug is intentionally tiny - a final warm accent rather than a focal point.

What You'll Need

To stitch this piece you'll need: fine linen or linen-cotton in soft ivory, oat, natural flax, pale stone or warm light grey; 15-20 cm; embroidery needles sizes 7-9; six-strand embroidery floss; your preferred transfer tool; and the DMC shades listed in the guide. Keep the ground stable but not drum-tight; the long grass lines look cleaner when the weave is not distorted.
