Two curled plumes rise beyond the bird of paradise's red display fan. Download the hand embroidery pattern for those long ornamental lines, fine hanging moss and perforated leaves around the supporting branch.

A closer look at the motif

Bird of Paradise in the Moss Theatre uses two distinct scales of ornament. Build the feather fan in short directional groups, secure the fine plume curves, and leave the foreground leaf openings visible as part of the design.

Do the ornamental shafts disappear into the red fan?

The two shafts extend beyond the body and end in distinct curled plumes. Leave room for both full curves when placing the design, as well as the separate red fan.
