The heron's striped neck turns through five tall reed seed tops. This downloadable embroidery pattern keeps the wetland setting uneven, with three principal tops to the left and two to the right of the bird.

The suggested palette

Suggested fabric: deep teal linen. The palette proposes 18 DMC shades for stranded cotton. Supply your own needles, hoop or frame and a transfer method suitable for the cloth. Test the transfer and physical thread colours on a small swatch first.

Reading the composition

How are the reeds distributed around the heron?
